Not sure what you mean by this; let me say what I'm seeing--or, rather, not
seeing--since I foolishly allowed Opera to 'upgrade' itself to 11.61 without
first checking this newsgroup:
Under Tools > Preferences > Advanced > Tabs > Additional tab options... I DO
NOT have "Show close button on each tab" checked. This should mean that a
permanent set of minimize/maximize-restore/close buttons--each of which
affects whichever tab currently has the focus--should appear to the far
right of the menu bar.
But they don't. Appear, that is. They're still sort-of there, in the sense
that if you manage to place the mouse pointer where they should be and then
click, their functions still take place ... but they're invisible.
This is a seriously irritating bug; I trust that a further update is issued
quickly--if only to correct this one rather basic user interface error.
BTW, I've no idea how long an illogicality in the speed dial has been
around, but it needs fixing: if, when you open a new tab, you have Opera set
to show a blank page with "show speed dial" in the bottom right-hand corner,
be warned that clicking on that corner is now a one-way street. The speed
dial images appear, but there's no "hide speed dial" link. You have to
Google for the overly techy solution--which doesn't appear in Opera's online
help for speed dial, and involves going into "about:config"--in order to
undo that incautious click on "show speed dial".
