What is rtsp and what does it have to do with browsing the
Internet?

No SP-AM is good spam.
It's RFC 2326, streaming media such as Quicktime. www.rtsp.org has more.
I haven't really been aware of it and I have no idea how big an issue
its non-support is - but unless I missed a new facility to bolt on new
protocols straight into Opera this way, it may not be feasible directly.
This isn't just another plugin, it's a counterpart to "http://" and
"ftp://"; "rtsp://" (and "rtp://").
Besides QuickTime, RealPlayer (RealOne) also supports rtsp, and so does
the Java Media Framework - so I will guess that in principle a Java
applet loaded by Opera could stream data from your rtsp server.
I think it's more usual for Web pages to invoke streaming media via
a plug-in, for instance *.ram file type for RealPlayer, instead of
placing an RSTP URL in a Web page. So that could work, too.
Opera isn't a video or streamed media player in itself (unless
you really stretch the point). I don't see any other browsers
either on the rtsp.org list of implementations.
