Anyone in the U.S. have a Safeway grocery store card? I've run into one
of those seemingly intractable problems. The safeway.com site works
fine, except all of a sudden for four pages, the personalized ones,
i.e., the ones I use for shopping: Coupon Center, Personalized Deals,
Your Club Specials and Print/Email My List. They simply won't load the
lists, instead just reporting they are loading preferences or such, on
and on. I've tried deleting cookies, rebooting, etc. I called them too
and they said to call my ISP. Computer experts.

It's happening with IE10 and Waterfox too, so it's not Opera specific.
But since Opera is what I use 99% of the time, I thought maybe someone
here who also has a Safeway card might be able to confirm or not, or
someone with more knowledge looking at the code might see what's going
on. Thanks,

Gene

Win32 XP Pro SP3 / O 12.15 b1748

I have a Safeway club card and have not had any problems lately. However,
I may not be using it the same way as you. I get the weekly (sometimes
more often) "deals" notification emails at an account at Yahoo. Usually I
read those emails by the web interface with Opera. I can login to the
Safeway account by the link in a notification email with no problem, at
least as of yesterday. So I don't go directly to safeway.com. (For
whatever it may be worth, my immediate upstream service provider is Cox.)

Thanks Paul. Here's what I'm seeing: http://i39.tinypic.com/5zfpea.jpg
Any chance you would log into the site and see what happens when you
look at one of the categories I mentioned under "just for U?"

I figured it out. I'd been using AdBlock extension and that worked
fine with the site, but I also turned on Ad Muncher the other day and
that was causing the problem. Or to put it the other way, Safeway
coded those individualized pages like ads.

Well done! But you'd better let Ad Muncher and Safeway
know that this is a problem. But, after all, web pages
served to you from Safeway /are/ ads.
