I have no interest in updating the browser to a version that includes
"unite" ,but every so often I get a notification at startup that a new
version is available and would I like to update , oddly there is no button
to say no thanks and don't remind me again.
Is their something I can change in "preferences editor" to stop these
messages ?
Thanks

BTW, note that you don't have to use Unite when running 10.10, and can
even disable it completely from opera:config. Opera 10.10 also offers
other benefits, such as security fixes, and better favicons management for
bookmarks and search engines, and other fixes.

Thanks for this info.. I usually go through the preferences after updating
Opera to see if my settings are still the same or to look for additional
functions. I couldn't have looked properly.

Yeah, it's too bad Opera doesn't offer a non-Unite download, though.
This ultimate Swiss Army Knife crap gets a bit old.
