I am using Opera 8.0 and am wanting to install AddBlock.

Instructions have me edit my Opera6.ini, and copy an edited menu.ini file then:

9. Once edited copy your new menu.ini file to the menu folder inside your Opera
profile folder.
(If you already have custom menus then just copy the relevant parts from my
menu.ini file to your own).

10. Start (or restart) Opera and then go to Tools > Preferences > Advanced >
Toolbars and
choose 'Opera Extended Menu' from the menus list.

I do not find 'Opera Extended Menu' on the menus list. What I see is:

Toolbar Setup
Opera Standard
Opera Minimal (Modified)

&
Menu Setup
Opera Standard
Opera Tools

Where Opera Minimal (Modified) and Opera Tools are highlighted.

Some of the following observations might indicate what I'm misunderstanding:

C:\Documents and Settings\brazee\Application Data\Opera\Opera\profile\menu.ini &
my
C:\Documents and Settings\brazee\Application
Data\Opera\Opera\profile\Menu\menu.ini contain
; Menu specification file for Opera 8

[Version]
File Version=2

[Info]
Name=Opera Tools
Description=Opera Extended Menu
Author=Dan Booth
Version=1.0
...

So that's where the menu title comes from - I duplicate it trying to guess
what's wrong.
My
C:\Documents and Settings\brazee\Application Data\Opera\Opera\profile\Opera6.ini

contains a [user pref] of:
Menu Configuration=C:\Documents and Settings\brazee\Application
Data\Opera\Opera\profile\menu\menu.ini

My Opera settings are:

Contact the author to change his description on the web page and/or
documentation. This is not an Opera issue, he used the wrong name in his
description of the steps to use. There ought to be an email link wherever
you downloaded the files from.
