How do i go about removing the close button on tabs in opera 8 preview?

You ask in opera.beta and then someone tells you to go to
preferences->windows and change the window handling to whatever you
normally use in Opera 7.

Ahh, cool, thanks lol, i'll subscribe to the opera beta ng. thanks for
giving me an answer as well as redirecting me ;-)

i'm just sick of close a tab instead of switching to it.

But don't you dare suggest they remove that feature completely, or I'll be
around to your house with a big stick ;-)
That close tab button is the best thing about v8.

It's the only thing I've noticed that's made a real difference to me so
far.
The overall layout is neater - or at least can easily be made so. I like
the "fit to window width" option.

Other browser spoofing doesn't seem to be any different, which has always
been the biggest hurdle for me.
