I can't speak for Opera, of course... but I strongly doubt they would
do that... why not try this...

I've been using them for over a year now... even though my ISP has
Usenet service. Individual.net has been stable and reliable for me
while Earthlink has not. They have good retention, good speed, and
both the groups you mention are there.

I'll second that recommendation. Check out the FAQ and 'Policy' at
<http://news.individual.net/> first.
I'll also mention that (1) it's free and (2) they carry opera.* groups too :))
