Hi,
newbie here. Some time back, I had managed to put some bookmarks on the
address bar so that their favicons were visible just right of the address
textbox; and I could go to the webpages by clicking the favicons. I
completely forgot how I did it. Any ideas?
I tried editing the toolbars; opening the bookmarks menu and dragging
and dropping the bookmark. While that works on some toolbars, it doesn't
work on the address bar. Is this a feature that Opera used to have but no
longer has?

No need to edit the toolbars, just drag a bookmark there and wait for the
tool-tip to pop-up. It says "hold shift to drag and drop links on
toolbars".
