Be Inc. has announced that its BeIA will be a part of Compaq's new
Internet Appliances (announced yesterday), although it's not clear
whether BeIA will be the standard OS or an optional one. Be is
still talking about the Opera browser, which leads me to ask: "Is
the Opera port to BeOS is still on-going? Will Opera also run on
BeIA?" See: http://biz.yahoo.com/bw/000816/ca_be.html .

The Be page on Opera's website was last updated July 31 and
says that OperaBe is up to Beta7.

Maybe B7 has been out for a year, but the site is up to date
- it was updated today.
