Hey! Figure it's time to get some traffic going on the mailing list.

Things have been rather quiet on the site due to me starting to get slightly overwhelmed with hardware. For once, I think I may have slightly too many toys. :)

Just got a garmin edge 705 to look at (there seems to be lots of interest in getting ANT+ sensors working with Max/MSP), and I'm now getting a few emails a week about the emokit project, which apparently needs a windows version ASAP. I'm also hoping to get back and finish the fitbit stuff soon, as that got left in a bit of a middle stage while I started the site.

So, for those of you that've signed up here so far, feel free to introduce yourself, list interests/projects/things you'd like to see on the site, etc... :)

Hey folks

Quick intro then. I'm part of the Homecamp community and into things like home automation and smarter living. Just acquired a Fitbit and interested in working with it on Linux, including things like e.g. local data capture and analytics, or choosing to use alternate cloud services like Google rather than being tied to the one service.

Data portability, privacy, scripting, multiplatforms, and a lovely embeddable messaging protocol called MQTT are in my interests and background.

Thanks for kicking the OpenYou stuff into life, Kyle!

I'm Bill Schuller. I'm a little more obsessed with the Quantified Self
movement than a father of two young children with a more-than-full-
time job should be. I can see the end of the tunnel when everyone can
get feedback from autonomous analytic services consuming our data.
Still putting the peices together on how I can help get there. VERY
happy to have stumbled across this list! Thanks Kyle for thinking the
way you do!

Hey everybody!

This is Juan from Colombia. I'm into the open source hardware thing. And recently reading a lot about self tracking and quantified self stuff. I will love to work towards devices that help us do some self tracking.
