Greetings,

Related to the previous email about organizing milestones, we still have to decide what to do with this last one. I can cut a bogus server release to match the milestone name, or we can move issues to corresponding milestones for server, mforms and the form designer.

Given that we’re halfway through 1.10 and 1.9.1 - would it make sense to do this switch for what would have been 1.11?

And then continue the “old” on 1.9.x ?

In general I’m fine with either approach.

Best

Jørn

Hi,

I'm not fully sure I understand the two proposed options here - sorry - and don't worry no need to explain. Just wanted to add that I think it would be super helpful to break out the mobile release asap and its milestones so that when we go to public release we also match it with a mobile release (match doesn't mean have the same number it just means mobile release 1.x and we know what features are in it and what's being added next etc.)

cheers,

bird

Jørn,

The point is that there is no 1.10 and 1.9.1 and it doesn't make sense to make them. That's the point. We can continue deferring, but it just gets more complicated as people grow more accustomed to poor approximations. That's exactly why I'm prompting this before cutting a release that doesn't need to be cut.

Brent,

I’m in full support of having separate  milestones for each part of openXdata that has/should have its own releases.

If it is best to make the transition now, then that is great and lets go ahead and make the required adjustments.

If this hasn't already been done, +1 from me. It will require a little more effort, but it really is the most logical option.
