to OpenWSN
hello, my friend

=========================================================

if you really interested in sensor networks, i think you should not
neglect TinyOS. it's critical important for us because most of the
researchers have already accept TinyOS as their platform. we can got a
lot of existed software resource if we can run tinyos on ARM.

would you like to have a try to port TinyOS to ARM?

hint: you needn't try TinyOS 1.0. you can try TinyOS 2.0 directly
because TinyOS 2.0 already contains an porting to XScale platform,
which is ARMv5 instructure compatible. however, our ARM7TDMI core is
ARMv4 instruction. TinyOS 2.0 is redesigned so it has a lot of
different to TinyOS 1.0

further, have you heard of SkeEye? it's an ARM emulator developed by
Dr ChenYu, Tsinghua university. it's widely used around the world in
uCOS/uCLinux community. maybe be this emulator can help you when you
have not hardware. i hope ARM emulator + OpenWSN/Hal + TinyOS can
run(let TinyOS run on OpenHAL API. regards OpenHAL as an virtual
microcontroller API). don't care too much about openwsn. you can just
consider them as a collection of APIs. openwsn isn't an full-
functional operating system. tinyos can be considered as a nesC
service in the architecture of openwsn.
