Simple question here: after a device registers to its controller, I do not see the list of interfaces for this device. As well, when I perform modifications directly on the device (using UCI or LUCI), those modifications does not propagate back into the OpenWISP web interface. For exemple if I add an Access Point using LUCI (wlan0), then I do not see it in the OpenWISP web interface.

Is it normal? Or am I missing something, like an option somewhere, that could enable this behavior?
Or is it a known limitation in OpenWISP? Or maybe I am misunderstanding how the tool is working?

Regards
Yves

There's no support for this feature yet.
We had started to work on it but had to pause it because it's more complex than we initially thought and we'll need more resources like at least 2 people working full time on this for some months.

At the moment modifications made on the device are not propagated to the OpenWISP server and remains local.

In the event that you're using templating the assumption that local changes would get clobbered is correct?

Hi Matthew,

Local changes can be lost if the remote config defines the same config options which are changed/added locally.
