Moving openwisp from one pc to other

Hello all,

I have installed openwisp in my pc and made some specific changes according to my requirement and openwisp is working perfectly.

Now I want to move the openwisp to some other pc. Is it possible to do so or do I need to install openwisp in the other pc from scratch and make changes according to my requirement?

You need to move the files in /opt/openwisp2, plus the contents of influxdb if you care about the monitoring charts.

If you're using a database like postgresql you will need to dump and restore its contents as well (search engines and AI tools will help you with the right commands to use on your system to do this).

Hi Federico,

I followed the steps you recommended ie copied the files of /opt/openwisp2 , content of influxdb in other pc. But then also I am unable to run openwisp in other pc. I used supervisorctl restart all to start all the sevices but nothing is happening.
Do we need to install any dependencies before copying the files or it should work directly.

Yes, you have to reinstall everything first, and then move the content (data).
