WAP Donations - Increased Hardware Feature Support?

Are any of the serious developers of OpenWISP in the USA?

I'd like to find someone that I can donate some Meraki MR24's to so that this 3x3 MIMO older radio might be more fully and easily supported by OpenWISP.

These radios are relatively powerful and very affordable as they come off the proprietary market.

Is there any interest from an experience developer to take some of these and get all their functionality support more easily for those wanting to deploy a medium mesh of ten or so radios?

Hi David,

this is an OpenWRT support issue rather than OpenWISP.

If OpenWRT supports the hardware well, OpenWISP can manage it.

Thanks for the clarification.

If you do think there's a way having a few of these radios could enhance OpenWISP support please let me know.

For instance, if there are extra options that OpenWISP might use better on a mesh system and those features could be baked back into the OpenWRT code by an OpenWISP developer -- like if an example could be made using these radios -- I'd be glad to ship some stateside to a developer who would try that.
