OPENWISP - WIFI SESSION and IP ADRRESS.

Hello all.

I've recently installed Openwisp and it's a great software !

I want to awk the following : Is there a way to display the ip address or Hostname fo each wifi session as an additional column near the mac address in the Home › Device Monitoring › WiFi Sessions page ?

Hi,

At the moment it's not possible to modify the WiFi Sessions page without changing the source code.

It's not the first time I hear this so I want to ask what you guys mean by hostname?

I remember somebody else was suggesting to use the DHCP lease data (if available) to get this.

Are you suggesting the same?

Hi and many thanks for the reply.

For what i need the hostname is not streectly necessary but would be helpfull the ip. Antway for hostname I exatly mean what you depicted in your answer: the name given by the dhcp or by the dns .

Thanks for the notification.

MAybe, if it is possible I can also do some reverse search... What I mean is : if it is possible, I can download, maybe by API or directly quering the DB, the list of attached HOSTS and then I can make a script that mathes the MAC Addr. with a MAC table ( i made manually with nmap or some other tool ) and display all the informations I need on a new web-page... Is there a way to query the DB for the WIFI-SESSIONs or export them every xx minutes ?
