Hello everyone,

This thread will be used to track the progress of the GSoC 2026 project, Add more TSDB to OpenWisp-monitoring

List of Tasks I have worked on :

• worked on adding influxDB2.0, Working on writing integration tests for compatibility between the both TSDB.
  
• merged 3 issues into 1 single issue for elasticsearch which also references the old issue and PR of elasticsearch.
• spent some time understanding the past implementations of adding influxdb2 (as discussed in meet)
  
• Addressed the review comments on adding influxdb2 PR

Tasks I will be working on next week:

• Fix the CI issues on influxdb2 PR, add the tests and integrate them with CI.
• Keep working on core implementation of influxdb2 PR.
• work on writing Flux queries for influxdb2

Blockers:

• Design decision has to be taken on retention policy method, as the influxdb2 client does not expose any direct way for short lived retention policy.

Hello everyone,

• worked on passing all the test cases for influxDB2 PR, made the CI all green.
• worked on setting up openwrt through VM but it did not worked, so set up openwrt using docker and manually tested the core implementation methods of influxDB2

Tasks I will be working on next week:

• chart/dashboard API tests under InfluxDB2 still expose compatibility gaps, mainly in chart query generation/summary handling for WiFi clients and general traffic, will work on them
• as discussed in the last meeting, I will implement the short retention policy for inluxDB2 through creating a new bucket.

Blockers:

• None
