Gadi,
Greetings from the Florida Keys, USA.
I am prayerfully considering returning to Israel in September with a desire to swim across Galilee at the widest point and then turn around and swim back to my start point. Has this been done before? When I swam from North to South in September 3rd, 2009 I seemed to encounter currents that made me feel like I was swimming in place. Was this imagined or real? My thoughts are to start on the western shore and swim east and then return to the western shore. Do think this is wisest? I would prefer a tail wind on the way back. In September is my likelihood greater for this?
Any comments and/or wisdom on this? I know that you held an event to swim the length of Galilee in 2010 and swam from south to north. Is that an annual event now? Any help you can offer me will be appreciated.
I have now swim around the island of Key West 66 times. Blessings!!
Sincerely,
Bill Welzien
