Hello All,

I am currently using VSPAero to do some research work. When I tried running VSPAero to find the effect of varying aspect ratios (3 to 20) on aerodynamic coefficients, the CDi, CDo, CDtot and L/D graphs for aspect ratios 14, 16, 18 and 20 coincide.

Below are my graphs for reference:

In particular, for the L/D graph, the peak L/D occurs at higher AOAs for higher aspect ratios. However, literature reviews of other research papers suggest that it should occur at lower AOAs.

I would also like to check how the CDo graph should look like, and the explanation behind it.

Below are the pictures of my set-up for reference. I am using a simplified B737 wing with only 1 section.

Thank you.

I suspect you made some error post-processing your data.

Just keep in mind for studying induced drag with a swept wing you are going to have varying span efficiencies that depend on AOA/CL.  Such a study might be more straightforward (straight haha) with a straight wing with a taper ratio around 0.7.  Something to keep in mind while looking at the absolute value of your Cdi or span efficiency results.  Best of luck
