Dear all,

I am currently trying to translate the code in https://github.com/OpenVSP/OpenVSP/blob/master/src/geom_api/APITestSuiteVSPAERO.cpp#L802 to a pyhton script so that I can incorporate it into my work on a DEP aircraft, which is being developped on pyhton. However, when I try to run it, I get the following error in my python console:

Attached to this message you can find my pyhton script and my vsp geometry file. Does anyone knows whats happening?

Thanks in advance for the feedback,

Bruno Marques

Hi Bruno,

Unfortunately I cannot really help you with your problem, as I am not using the python integration. However, I am also working with OpenVSP on DEP with the Tecnam P2006T and the NASA X57. I thought I might as well share the P2006T models in case you would be interested in them as you are working with the same aircraft. The fuselage and tail are based on the X57 model that Rob released in the hanger. The VLM version uses elliptical components as they work better for VLM analysis

Cheers,
Jasper

Dear Jasper.

Thanks for the message and for the support material. Actually my current goal for my thesis is to turn my already made Tecnam in to the X57 and do an optimization process on the aircraft to see, for example, how many propellers are needed for each phase of the flight envelope. However, I am doing everyrhing using SUAVE (a python based software) so the files that you sent me would be very helpful if you had a SUAVE version of them.

In relation to the topic of my first question. Is there anyone in the organization that can help me with that? Because I am trying to solve this problem for the last month and is turning into an annoying problem.

Kind regards,

Bruno

Hi Bruno,

Unfortunately I do not have SUAVE models, sorry.
