Hi everyone,
I'm trying to model the FUNCUB Multiplex in OpenVSP, but I'm running into some issues with the rudder. As you can see in the image, the rudder is composed of two parts with different chords. Since OpenVSP doesn't allow varying the chord within a single control surface, I had to create two separate rudder surfaces: one at the tip, extending along the full chord, and one at the root, covering about half the chord of the vertical stabilizer.

However, when I try to run the stability analysis, I assign both rudder surfaces to the same control group, but the simulation keeps telling me that it can't find the second control surface I added. It's as if it only recognizes one control surface per lifting surface.

I'm sure this is a common issue, does anyone know how to solve it?

Thank you very much!

What version of OpenVSP are you using?  Please update to 3.45.3 and report how it goes.

Can you post files to work with?

Does a single control surface work as expected?

Rob
