Hi,
I am trying to run a simple VSPaero flying wing model with varying elevator deflections to check the result on pitching moment, lift and drag.
I have defined the subsurfaces in the wing geometry editor and they show up as expected on the wing. In VSPaero i have set up the control grouping and gains to make both surfaces move in the same direction. In the VSPaero 'overview' tab i have selected the control surface and prescribed it a deflection of 5 degrees. When i click 'prepare solver' the geometry mesh shows as expected with the elevators in place but not deflected.
When i click on 'launch solver', I get the following message:

There is control surface information...

the solver then stops without running anything.
have i missed a step here or set up the control surface wrongly?
Thankyou in advance for your advice!

Are you using _ as a character in your Geom names and/or your Control Surface and/or Control Surface Group names?

If so, don't do that.
