Good afternoon.

I am a student who is new to your program. I was wondering if the program could be able to , flying at cruise speed,  give you the angle of deflect of the control surfaces in order to keep the plane stabilized.
Thanks.

There is not automatic trim capability at this time.  However, you can easily get all the information you need.

Build a model with a trim surface (elevator).  In the VSPAERO GUI, set up the control surface grouping with gains of 1,-1 so both sides of the elevator go up or down together.

Run a stability run, this will perturb all of the flight degrees of freedom one at a time (including your control surface) and will report derivatives.

Take that data, build a normal trim matrix and solve.

[CLalpha CLdeltae;CMalpha CMdeltae] [alpha; deltae] = [CL-CL0; -CM0]

Or something like that.
