Cut on elevators

Hello,

I would like to reproduce the V cut on the elevators as it is on the picture below.

I used the "trim" option in the "modify" tab to cut the elevator. The geometry and the mesh are OK, but the wake is released only from the trim section, and not from the sharp one.

Is it done on purpose? I don't understand why there is no wake from the sharp trailing edge. 
Is there a way to correct it?

It is because the TE transitions from blunt to sharp and the algorithm for detecting the TE isn't handling that well.  Please post the file and I might be able to do something with it.

You might also try to use a thin representation, that might work better.

Otherwise, you can not use trim and instead use a reduced chord.

Hello Rob,

please find attached the horizontal tail. It works with the thin representation, there is a wake all along the span.
