Hello everyone,

I am currently trying to use the OpenVSP Structures - pyNastran - Mystran workflow which Bryan Sandoz demonstrated in the 2025 OpenVSP workshop to analyze the deflection on my aircrafts wing, named MainWing.

I have implemented ribs and spars, alongside setting material properties and BC's. I have also added my wing's structure to an assembly, and meshed and exported that before pressing 'Apply Loads'. I also run a VSPAero prior to pressing 'Apply Loads'

My issue starts when I press 'Apply Loads' in the Aero Structural tab. After waiting for the loads to transfer over, I open the .static.inp file, however all DLOADS at every node remain 0.

My apologies if this question has been posted before, however I would like to ask if there is anything I am missing which is causing my loads to not transfer over. Thank you in advance for any help with this situation.

Hello again,

Attempting this workflow again using OpenVSP 3.43.1, the version used by Bryan Sandoz in his demonstration, resulted in loads being properly applied to the .static.inp file.

I have not yet tried versions between 3.50.1 and 3.43.1, but my current suspicion is there was some change to the .adb format which causes the parser in src/vsp_aero/Adb2Load to no longer work.

Here is the file I was using, this one was tried on both 3.50.1 and 3.43.1, if it helps

That is likely the case.  I'll try to look into it.

Would you mind adding an issue report to GitHub so I can track it there?
