Issouf,

There are two ways to build OpenVSP -- you can use the SuperProject,
or use the Libraries and VSP sub-projects separately.

It looks like you've jumped straight to the VSP sub-project without
taking care of the libraries. That won't work for you.

Pretty detailed Ubuntu instructions were recently posted to the group.
Check them out and post again if you still have trouble...

Hi there, Rob. I figured I should come here rather than start my own thread.

I am having the same issues, but when I try the directions in the link, I still get unable to find Code Eli.

I am running Ubuntu 12.04 (Trying out CAE Linux) and I am wondering if there may be some syntax differences between 12.04 and 14.04?

I went through and installed all of the packages suggested (figured that would save me some trouble.) but am still stuck on this one.

Help would be much appreciated, as I'm pretty new to Linux operating systems, though have used OpenVSP in the past.

Aiden.

As I said in my previous email, those instructions are for v2, they
don't work at all for v3. On the assumption that anyone crazy enough
to build v2 can figure it out, I've re-written the Wiki instructions
for v3. Please let me know how these instructions work for you.

So I changed the top of the CMakeLists.txt file to

CMAKE_MINIMUM_REQUIRED(VERSION 2.0)

And it installed.

It took me a while to find the executable file, but it works!

Thanks so much, Rob!

Aiden.
