I'm trying to create two holes along the chordline of a wing for mounting to a test jig for our summer campers to test different airfoils. I've created a wing, used a stack set to negative volume to create the holes, then exported the file to stl for 3d printing, but I don't get the holes. I've also tried CFD Mesh. Can someone point me in the right direction?

Also, I don't see a way to attach my file to this message. How can I give people access to my file?

Thanks,
Billy

You need to run CompGeom before saving the STL file.

CFDMesh should have worked if you had the Sets set appropriately.

I don't know why attaching a file doesn't work for you.  Are you accessing the group as an email, or through the Google Groups web interface?

The Google Groups web interface.

I had set the length of the first and last stack sections to 0 to square off the stack and it looks like that deletes that section of the stack so I had open circles and the stack was no longer watertight. Once I added points back to each end and the stacks were watertight (I think?), it works perfectly.

Thank you for your help, out campers are going to love this!

Yes, all bodies must be individually watertight for CompGeom to work properly.

The Stack component now has an option to initialize itself to a cylinder.  It will set the skinning to have squared off ends, it may save you some time.

Under the Design tab, at the top 'Stack Preset'.
