Wing structure

1)How do I insert a wing structure in a HWB. I tried adding some spars and ribs in the N2A HWB, but i couldnt. There is no wing structure in a HWB, its all Fuselage. Help.

2)How do I do the FEA/CFD of the structure. Tried exporting a wing structure mesh to Calculix, and VSP went "not responding" everytime and had to "force Close" it.

3)About the seats. I used the 5 row economy seat file to generate my cabin of 400 seats, but VSP wouldnt generate any more seats than 75. It just hung up all time. 

Am i doing anything wrong ? Need guidance.

Pavan,

Talk about a compound question.  I'll try to answer as many of them as I can...

At present, you can only use VSP structures with 'MS_WING' type components.

At present, VSP wing structures only supports skin, ribs, and spar.  If you can't represent what you need with a wing skin/rib/spar combination, then it won't work for you.

I'm not sure the problem you're having when you go to export a structure.  If you have a wing with structure set up, it shouldn't have any trouble generating the FEA mesh and writing out a Calculix file.

VSP doesn't do well with a gazillion components.  I have also heard that the seats model may have some duplicate components that will make this problem worse than you think.  Do you really want to model all the seats in VSP?  What do you want to accomplish with that?  Maybe there is a better way to accomplish that goal.
