Hi,

Is there any option in openvsp where we can specify the max and min edge length of the stl file/ mesh generated?

Thanks

Check out the CFDMesh capability.

Very helpful indeed. Thanks
Can you guide me when do we need to have triangular meshes and when quad (any thumb rule/ common practice)?

It just depends on what your downstream tool wants.

Most unstructured aero tools are happy to deal with Tris.

Most FEA tools want quads.  So, our ability to make quads came from our FEA stuff -- we just turned on the option in CFDMesh because we could.

Frankly, our quads are pretty lousy (but they do have four edges), so don't use them unless you really want quads.
