Hello, for a university assignment I need to run some vspaero analysis on a model I've made in the VSP environment (OpenVSP 3.45.0) using 3-view drawings.
I'm analysing the Dassault Mirage F2 and, following the VSP workshop on 'Integrated Flowpath Modelling', I managed to create the inlets as a flowthrough structure. However, attempting to run the solver in VSPAero causes the entire program to crash.
I don't know enough about the program/program code to understand why this occurs, but I think it could be due to the XZ symmetry causing the mesher to fail. I've toggled Inlet Mode to Flowthrough Negative which I thought would tell it otherwise. Based on a few videos I speculate that my intersections between components could also be a problem.
Would it be better to model the inlets as solid fuselage components in the interest of VSPAero managing to solve it? If there's a way around this I'd very much appreciate the help.
Also, is CompGeom mesh (when shaded) a good way to spot anomalies in intersections, and hence determine whether VSPAero will run or not?
I've attached the file of my current aircraft process. Below are some shaded CompGeom mesh snippets which I'm unsure about:
^Could this be a VSPAero crasher?
Thank you very much for any help you can provide.
