Hello,

I want to know if we can export a VSP file to any CAD software or other tools. I want to be able to export my conceptual design to be converted to CAD model so that I can create a prototype using Rapid Prototyping Machines/Techniques.

By the way:
I run OpenVSP 3.24.0
I go to File...  Export... and select Untrimmed STEP file.
And then I click OK,then select the storage path of the STEP file and name the file locally on my computer, then I click accept ,but noting file export  in my storage path!

Awaiting suggestions.

I think the problem is that you selected the 'Export Props At Origin' option -- that option will only export any propeller geometries in the model....

You also probably don't want the 'Demote Surfs to Cubic' option.

I also recommend trying to export through Analysis -> Trimmed Surfaces you will be able to export a watertight trimmed CAD file. However, this tools does have trouble if you geometry is complicated with a lot of intersections. If it's relatively simple it should work great. You'll also have better results than the untrimmed export if you only have a single geometry in your set.
