Hello

I am working with the geometry "Fuselage / Transport Fuselage" (OpenVSP 3.15.0) and was looking for way to add different structure elements of a conventionel fuselage such as frames, bulkheads, stringers, floors etc.
Is there any way to design these elements? And if so, can they be used for meshing as structure elemtents (carring loads etc.)

Thanks a lot.

Go to Analysis...  FEA Mesh...

The best documentation for this is on the Wiki.

Thanks for the quick help.

I found it and did progress in modelling. So far I used the FEA Parts dome (for pressure bulkhead), line with cap (for frame), rectangel and ellipse (for doors and windows).
I was wondering how the floor was created as in the picuture on the Wiki at "Display Tab".

Do you have any advise for me ?

Thanks a lot.

I believe that was created with a Slice -- where you then change the orientation to XY instead of the default YZ (I think).

Yes thanks a lot. I could manage it.

When modelling the doors of the fuselage by the help of an rectangel as FEA part, i can not model a door on the right side of the fuselage. The problem is that the "Center W" slider stops at the half of the right fuselage side. So in other words, the beginning point and end point of the "Center_W" slider is in the area field of the door and i can not go over the value of 1.0 of course (red part in the picture can not go further down)

Is there any possibility to may be define the beginning / ending of the slider?

I think your best bet is to define the door in two parts -- before and after the start/end w value...
