Build geometry from STL file

Hi,

I'm trying to build a complete aircraft from a .stl file (scanned geometry). The people who are providing me the file are not willing to give me more useful information (sections, length, etc.) (nice people).

Is possible use the .stl and obtain an approximated geometry?
