Possible to customise the External IP address?

I'm curious as to how the device works out it's external IP address.

 

I have several external IP addresses available to me and would like to force the appliance to use a specific one - is this possible by changing the config somewhere or do I need to NAT some specific port outbound to convince the appliance that it is on another address?

The appliance will automatically find the external ip by reaching out. So will be the default route on your external facing device.
