So first time playing with this, ran the import option in VMWARE
Player, all seems good, the console says go to the web interface, I
get there enter the user/password, it redirects me to /cgi-bin/
openvpn/ which turns up a 404 web page not found.

Read the entire read me twice, logged in to root to check the
directory structure but I am not seeing anything amiss.

Anyone have this issue or know a fix?

There is no smoke without a fire - two people having the same problem -
So let's try to investigate a little.

Please provide more info:
What is the vmware product - (ex vmware player 8 on win xp sp2, etc)
use putty to ssh in the appliance [root/password]
[try to log in using the web interface and immediately]
run the commands below and provide the output [copy by keeping the
mouse button down in the putty window and move the mouse/paste]
tail -n 100 /var/log/httpd/access_log
tail -n 100 /var/log/httpd/error_log
[this is the web server log/error log]
Any other observation that may help.

Regards,
Radu

When I get home I can get you more detailed information for now here
is what I got :

Latest VMWARE Player 4.02
Windows 7 32 Bit
Using the latest release package on the readme file downloaded last
night.

I will do the SSH/Putty session and grab the outputs when I get home.

At the moment I have deployed the appliance in ESXi 5 hypervisor.
I'm trying to connect to it via ssh, but it refuses the access with
admin:12345678 user:psw and I can't execute a command in the console.
it seems to me that I can not interact with the running appliance
other than the failing web-login...

Any thought?

I found the "slight issue"....the content of the cgi-bin folder was
missing. Fixed the problem and as I write this the fixed file is
uploading.
