Just putting this here for reference:

I just put up a new release (Pointrel20090201_0.0.1_alpha) for the Pointrel
Social Semantic Desktop on SourceForge:
http://sourceforge.net/projects/pointrel/

About that release:
"The Pointrel Social Semantic Desktop is an RDF-like triple
store implemented on the Java/JVM platform, as well as related social
semantic desktop applications inspired in part by NEPOMUK and Halo Semantic
MediaWiki. This is version 20090201_0.0.1_alpha of the Pointrel Social
Semantic Desktop. This release is intended as a preview of the ideas in the
technology, not as a stable platform. It may contain significant bugs and
may undergo further major changes in the core. It requires Java 1.5 or
later. The zip file contains the source, all dependent jars, the application
built as a stand-alone executeable jar, and example repository files."

The source code is licensed under the LGPL version 3 or later.

Anyway, that ongoing work is indirectly inspired by wanting to have a
platform for discussions and designs related to OpenVirgle and OSCOMAK-like
Open Manufacturing.

There isn't much to see there unless you are a programmer interested in
RDF-like distributed systems and so on though. But it is essentially what
will hopefully be replacing the current OSCOMAK site.
