dear sir,
i m student of weekend batch and i hv issued kit of Uniboard. It is
tested successfully in Thinklabs laboratory.
I tried to program the board in Windows XP. I am using macros to blink
LEDs, but when I am trying to program the board....i got the message

"avrdude -p atmega128 -P usb -c usbasp -U flash:w:macros.hex
avrdude: error: could not find USB device "USBasp" with vid=0x16c0
pid=0x5dc
make: *** [program] Error 1"

I have checked for USBasp properties in My computer. I have found
that :
USB\VID_16C0&PID_05DC\5&180A21D&0&2
but still it is showing "error: could not find USB device "USBasp"
with vid=0x16c0 pid=0x5dc"

I have tried this with WinAVR-20080610 and WinAVR-20100110, but same
problem is faced.

Please guide me .
Thanks, warm regards

Dear Yuvraj

Do download the win-avr and corresponding usbasp driver from www.code.google.com/p/uniboard
The combination of the winavr and usb asp therein is tested..

Hi,
Try to uninstall the driver from device manager.
download the latest driver from http://www.fischl.de/usbasp/usbasp-windriver.2009-02-28.zip
Unzip it to a folder.
Now power off the board and power it on again. It will ask for new
hardware installation.
Follow the steps given in the uNiBoardv1.1 reference manual page no.
44 to 47. in section Installing USB drivers for uNiBoard.

Now after you have finished installing, again issue the command as you
have mentioned.

You can download the uNiBoardv1.1 reference manual from the link
