Hello,

I am trying to interface RF 433 tx-rx with the atmega128 but cannot get what sort of antenna to be used for the transmission. plz suggest me.

Aarti.

The simplest type of antenna you can use is a wire.
A normal wire could do...

Hi aarti.....
I am not fluent in RF 433rx-tx module. But i have a small experience in other RF module.

In my old experiment, I also have same difficulty. But there is no any restriction for antenna in Normal rf module. In that module, there is a helical spring is connected as an antenna.

I belive that, your module have an antenna from manufacture.  Then use the same antenna and sure that your transmitter circuit have a better power supply. In RF module, the transmitter circuit need a good power supply. Check its supply condition. If it was a battery, replace it with a new one.

If you use a transformer power supply, with a small current ratings, it also create the same problem. So sure that, the transformer supply can produce the current ratings described in RF 433 module data sheet. Else change the transformer with a small increase in current rate.

Important: Don't try to increase the supply voltage. It will permanently distroy your RF module.

If your module haven't any type of antenna, just use a 10 or 15 cm normal copper wire as an antenna. Use the same type wire and same length in both transmitter and receiver.
Normal bread board connecting wire can be used. I do this one for my one application.

Also i use another experiment on this antenna. Just take 2  copper bread board connecting wire with same length. Then bend 1 wire as a helical spring by using a pen or pensilll :-) Do the same action in the second wire. Use one in transmitter and another one in receiver.

I first prefer to check the power supply of your transmitter.
Then use a normal bread board connecting wire as an antenna.
Then i sure that, you can transmit and receive data...... :-)
Then change the nature of antenna and enjoy the electronics engineering with fun.
I am always here... Also intrested in technical disscussion......
