Hey,

I have been using Uniboard for over a year. I was on Computers with
Windows XP. Now I got my Laptop with Windows 7. I tried to install the
Win XP Drivers but it didnt recognize the usbasp file and commented
"better drivers already installed". Now I found a thread on AVR Freaks
with a process to make it work, But I couldn't make it work for me.
Here is the link. http://www.avrfreaks.net/index.php?name=PNphpBB2&file=viewtopic&t=87070

and here is the error I get in Programmers Notepad.

Sir,

The error is

> "make.exe" program
avrdude -p atmega128 -P usb -c usbasp -U flash:w:switch.hex
avrdude: error: could not find USB device "USBasp" with vid=0x16c0
pid=0x5dc
make.exe: *** [program] Error 1

> Process Exit Code: 2
> Time Taken: 00:02

Please help me as to how to make it work for me...

Thanks and Regards.!

I think so there is the problem with the usbasp drivers.

uninstall usbasp drivers from device manager
and download the latest drivers from http://www.fischl.de/usbasp/
try to use latest winavr version also. http://sourceforge.net/projects/winavr/files/

And after installation try again. Also tell you are using windows7 32-bit or 64-bit.
In windows7 32-bit I guess it should have no problem.
Best is to use Linux OS :) http://www.ubuntu.com/

Sir,

Thanks for the reply...

I have Windows 7 Ultimate 32 bit operating system...

Sir, I had already tried these steps... with latest updated drivers
and Winavr files + manually uninstalling drivers.
But when I again reinstall them manually from device manager, after
selecting path to my source driver, it displays message "Best driver
for your device is already installed".

Hoping for reply soon.

Regards.

Sir,

Thanks for the reply...

Sir, I want to clarify the question I posted...

I am able to "make" the program...( so I suppose my Makefile is
properly made), but I am not able to "program" the code on Uniboard...
have been working with Uniboard for over a year now (obviously with
Windows XP till now)...

I had installed latest version of WinAVR and driver usbasp...

and ya I stay in Noida, NCR!!!

Thanks and Regards!
