sudo make install
The sudo part is what makes it run as root, so no need to become root to execute this line. It can be confusing.make installHere it is the opposite: it misses sudo, otherwise should be run as root.Check that /usr/local/var/ludd is created (show hidden file to see it)
ls -a /usr/local/var/luddIn my case it is in /usr/local/share/ludd (Ubuntu 12.04.3 LTS)sudo chown -R myLogin:myLogin ~/.gnupgI let the default stuff, because I understood it is the system which should run the node (which is your local system a priori). I do not know because it is not specified but for me it works.
