Fun with Faces is an eBook that teaches not only how to draw a face, but how to draw one with style! It teaches how to draw all of the features of the face accurately and expressively, explores facial construction and manipulation, and delves into character design, style variation, and more! If you want to draw cartoon and comic book characters, then this is the eBook for you!

Ever since I first found his channel, I enjoyed and adored his Copic Marker drawings, character design challenges and overall content so much, i really wanted to get Copic Markers myself and try to be just as good. His characters' proportions, faces and the colouring inspired me very much to test out new things and become just as good as drawing some day. And more and more Jazza's personality grew to me and the way he shows himself in front of the character makes him appear so kind, sympathic and not only entertaining but motivating and real. A reason why I would love to meet him in person some day if I could Oh well, dreams.

Anyways, I wanted to draw a little something for him using my new brush markers and not only practicing with them but sharing what I've got so far. Sadly I only have a small number of colours I can use and I totally lack any skin colour tones. Meh. This is why I had to use coloured pencils for his face and his Jazza avatar on his shoulder. I bet you can tell, even though I tried to blend them in with the colourless blender, you can still see the structure.

I admit: It's definitely not among my best artworks and there are way better pictures of him and also the colours look off somehow, human faces are difficult for me to do and all but I STILL wanted to share this piece, just to show my admiration and also gratefullness towards Jazza since I think he deserves the praise and attention. If you haven't yet, make sure to check him out.

Your anecdotes and processes are just what I needed to give me the push to get serious about my art. I'm in my 70th decade and up until now haven't given myself credit for my latent abilities. I still can't get used to drawing something and it really looks like my inspiration. LOL. I recently took up watercolor painting and of course drawing is very important. Just wanted to say that you have inspired me to buckle down and work. Of course it's also pleasure when it's what you really love to do.

Thank you, Mary

Hi Mary,
Your words truly make me want to keep doing what I'm doing! It made me SO, incredibly happy to hear that you've finally decided to give importance to your abilities and passions. :)
How is your watercolor painting going? I'd love to know what you're finding enjoyable about the process, what kinds of subjects you like painting most, as well as any difficulties you may be having!
Please do keep in touch!

Thanks Erika, I love your videos, your style of teaching is great and really encouraging, I've always had trouble with faces, when I put figures in any of my drawings or paintings I always place them facing away but watching your lessons has given me the urge to really have a go again. Now with your help, hopefully I can make some serious improvements.
Thanks again, Gary

Hi Ian,
Thanks so much for popping by and checking this one out.
I don't! But I've written the topic down in my list for future posts to create.
If you're into figure drawing, I'd highly recommend checking out Draw With Jazza or Stan Prokopenko's channels over on YouTube. They are super helpful. :)
Wish you a lovely weekend,
Erika

First of all, I want to say that this is not sponsored by or affiliated with Jazza. I purchased these brushes with my own money because I wanted to use them. At the time of writing this, the brush pack is available for purchase on the Jazza Studios website, and comes with the brush files for Adobe Photoshop CC, Clip Studio Paint, Procreate, and Krita. The bundle includes over 80 brushes, including pencils, pens, oil paints, watercolor, special effects, charcoal, and more.

The brush pack also comes with a PDF guide that lists all the brushes by category and gives a preview and brief description of each one. I found this to be extremely helpful when deciding which brushes to install!

The standard pencil tool has more texture than the construction pencil, but is amazingly responsive to pressure. I had such a good time drawing the lines of the fluttering hair that I had to stop myself from going overboard! Like the construction pencil, this pencil builds on itself well and allows for lighter and darker strokes without much effort. It feels like a very natural pencil tool and I really liked it.
