The project is still used at StumbleUpon. I am still working on it in
my spare time, just like I was working on it my spare time at
StumbleUpon. Obviously I don't have a lot of spare time, so things
are moving slowly and sometimes I reply to emails only once a month,
which is less than ideal. I'm still hoping to have more time
available than I had previously once I'm fully ramped up in my new
role at Arista Networks.
ManOLamancha has been working on a lot of new features that, in one
way or another, ought to go in OpenTSDB 2.0.
A number other companies have started depending a lot on OpenTSDB,
such as Box.net, who recently contributed the drag-to-zoom
improvements to the web UI.
There is over a dozen companies in the bay area alone that rely on it,
and although the development pace has been pretty slow recently, I
feel like there is enough people still interested to help make things
move forward.
