add data to OSM

Hello everyone, 

I'm working on a project to provide paths adapted to seniors , I'm using OTP for this purpose. I was wondering if there is a way to add data automatically to OSM , I have some data coming from the city that is not available on OSM and I want to include this data.

I have also a question about the road works , I know that there are some updaters for realtime data GTFS , bike , ... but what about road works is there a way to consider this?

Hi Tahir,

Adding data automatically to OSM is a big no no. 

The problems with doing it automatically are that it would not integrate with the rest of the data and that it would be unreviewed. Just imagine everyone just dumping data in the project. It would be a nightmare for the human contributors to untangle the mess.

If you like I can show you how you can add the data you want manually. It's a lot of work, but very gratifying. And of course, you can explain to others how it's done to distribute the workload.
