I see Panthera is non-monophyletic (https://tree.opentreeoflife.org/opentree/argus/ottol@563154/Panthera-genus-in-subfamily-Pantherinae-) because of Uncia uncia (https://tree.opentreeoflife.org/opentree/argus/opentree3.0@3859542/Panthera-tigris--Panthera-gombaszoegensis--). But this species seems to have been renamed Panthera uncia, which reinstates monophyly (see http://www.iucnredlist.org/details/22732/0).

I guess this is an easy correction. But I'm just wondering how many other similar examples are causing problems on OToL...

Can I ask you to email in...@ncbi.nlm.nih.gov with the correction? That's where we pick up this species. It's NCBI taxon id 29064. They already know about Panthera uncia as a synonym.

I'll add it as an ad hoc edit to the taxonomy build script.
