The HMS Supports the following software/setup:
Operating Systems: Any that support Apache 2.0.59 or later
Apache 2.0.59 or later
MySQL 5.0.45 or later
PHP 5.23 or later
If you have trouble installing/configuring any of these, or have no
idea
what you need to do on your windows computer to make them work,
check
out
http://xampp.org, which features a Windows installer that will
install and configure all of the above.
IONCube loaders must be installed and configured for the version of
PHP
you are using. You can find the loaders for free in this package,
and
installation instructions at:
http://ioncube.com

INSTRUCTIONS
|
+-------------------------------------------------------------------------
+
1. Unzip the downloaded installation file into a directory on your
local machine. If your local machine and your server are the same
machine, that is not a problem. To follow these steps
successfully,
do not unzip in a web-accessible folder (e.g., inside htdocs in
your Apache document root)
2. FTP or Copy the files located in the htmlroot folder to the
folder
where you will be installing the HMS on your server.
If you do not have an FTP program, you can get the one we use
here at
OTS by copying this link into your browser's address bar:
http://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=85589&release_id=565634
3. Create a database in MySQL to hold the HMS data. If you do not
know
how to create a MySQL database on your server, contact a system
administrator or your hosting provider for instructions.
4. Set the permissions on the install.php file, located in the
htmlroot
folder, so that they are writable by PHP. If you do not know how
to
set the file permissions, please check the manual or help modules
for your specific operating system.
5. Open your browser and browse to your installation folder, located
at:
http://yoursite.com/{HMS_FOLDER}/install
Where HMS_FOLDER is the folder where you copied the contents of
htmlroot from the zip file. If you uploaded the files directly
to
your web root folder, you do not need to enter this value,
your url would be:
http://yorusite.com/install
If you've uploaded/copied the files and neither of these formats
for your URL work, please use our support forum to get help on
installation. Our support form is located at:
http://support.opentravelsoftware2.com
6. Enter the following information on the installer screen:
Host Name: The name of the MySQL database host. This is
set
to localhost by default. If you do not know
the
value, the default will normally work. If you
are
unsure, please contact your system
administrator
or hosting provider for the correct MySQL
database
hostname/IP address to use.
Database Name: The name of the MySQL database that you
created
for the HMS.
Database Username: The name of the MySQL user with access to the
HMS
database. This user must have CREATE, UPDATE,
and
DELETE privileges on Tables in order to
install.
Database Password: The password of the MySQL user with access to
the
HMS database.
7. Click the Next >> button.
8. Your installation should now be ready to use. Browse to the
folder
where you copied the contents of htmlroot, and you should see
the
login screen.
9. The default user configured for you has the following access
information:
Username: admin
Password: admin
Access: Full control and access to all modules.
NOTE: It is highly recommended that you change the password for
this
user immediately, for security reasons.
10. At this point, you should delete the installation folder, again
for
security reasons. Keep in mind that the default location of
this
README file is inside the installation folder (/install), and
you
may want to retain a copy for future reference.
