Once you do the trace...then what?

OK, newbie here... I must be missing something in the docs.   You get this wonderful ability to trace a single transaction across multiple applications & systems.  And then what?  Send it to elasticsearch or something so you can find this wonderfully traced transaction?  Or, do I need to add to my logging structure and output

If you instrumented your distributed application with OpenTracing, you plug-in one of the available tracers and it will send the tracing data to the tracing backend.
