Hi all,

I just decided that I had a story that would be best told through a simple animation, so I got installed OpenToonz on my Ubuntu 22.04 box, and I'm trying to get started. Looking good so far :-)

My plan was to use some emojis as personas in the story, and so, since emojis are just unicode characters like any other, I figured I could just use the type tool to type emojis, and work on that as I would have done with any other text. I have the Noto Color Emoji font installed, and it shows up amongst the usable fonts too.

But I haven't found a way to type them... I have also tried to cutnpaste them from another program, to no avail.

Is there a way to do this?

Kind regards,

Kjetil

While using the Text tool you can insert characters by typing its code, while pressing the Alt key.
