This drawing I'm doing has a lot of straight lines so I used some of the tools to make the lines but now it looks too clean cut and I hate it. So I redrew it without using the tools and while it looks better, I want to clean it up. Do I just go with normal eraser and reworking the lines, or is there an actual process that you guys use to clean your work up?

HI, you could use the scan and cleanup panel. I have tested it with scan drawings only but I think you could use it also with drawings  done in open toonz, but be sure that in the line processing option in the cleanup settings windows select color.
Messing with the options in that window you clean the lines

Kristina,
I'm not a cleanup artist so take the following for what it is worth...

The first thing to consider is the style you are targeting.
It may be that you can achieve that look with minimal cleanup... perhaps by changing the brush style of your line only.  There are sketchy brushes, thin, thick, dotted, on and on... we can even create our own.

Regarding cleanup itself I like to use outline mode (especially when converting raster lines to vector).
This give me maximum flexibility to adjust not just lines but shapes.

There are a few tools I love to use to get a more dynamic line.  They are well worth looking into.

Iron Tool
If your lines are shaky the first tool to consider would be the Iron Tool.
With the Iron we can smooth any vector line to the nth degree (as you say... too clean!)

Pump Tool
Use this when a line looks too thin.
Ideal placement for thicker lines might be at the shaded/dark side of an object (opposite of where the light in the scene is coming from) or where the weight might be expected to be.
For best results from the Pump Tool adjust the size so that more (or less) of the line's thickness is effected.

Tape Tool
I didn't think this tool would be very useful but I find myself using it all the time.
It has many uses but the primary one's include:

Close Gaps (if lines aren't connecting its easy to quickly delete an area and use the Tape Tool to connect lines togethter (make sure Join Vectors is checked if you actually want the lines connected otherwise the lines will be placed but unconnected).

Quickly placing lines between other lines (they will tape as straight but can easily be deformed)
