Hi,
I have scanned a sequence of drawings and when I put it on a level, I doesn't allow me to paint. What am I doing wrong?
What can I do to paint raster since I don't want to convert it to vectors.

Thanks

Brian

Hi Brian,
We need some more information.
It should be working for you... we just have to find out why it is not.

The first thing I would do would be to make sure the shape you are working with is closed... so that fill colors will work.
If you aren't using the paint bucket/fill tool and can't paint with a brush... perhaps you are actually painting but using the same color as the background so it doesn't look like you are drawing/painting.
To remedy that, make sure you select a Style that has a different color.

Too many variables at this point so please let us know more about what you are experiencing.
If you can capture your video (using a program like OBS Studio... screencast o matic... etc.) that will tell the tale.

Hi Rodney,
Thank you for answering. This is the window that pops up when I grab the paint bucket. I scanned the images at 300dpi and saved them as png.
OT doesn't let me use any paint tool.
I checked this tutorial where this guy imported a scanned image and I see that he can paint it. Why can't I? Do I need a special scanner or do I need to save it in a special format?

Thanks
Brian

The paint bucket doesn't work on raster levels.  You can convert your png to a toonz raster level and then you can paint it.

Never mind. I found out how to convert png to Ink and Paint Level.
And for those who are going through the same pain, it's easy:
In Browser, select the png's ---right click  --- convert --- File Format ---tlv
Check : Apply Autoclose.

That's it. DONE.

Thanks

Brian
