Fill tool doesn't fill anything, sometimes it works for me sometimes it doesn't, normally on different days with different projects so I've no idea what is going wrong, any tips? I Would appreciate help as I need to colour in. I have it on vector not raster if that's relevant.

vector is what you want. maybe make sure that your areas are closed. because it's filling a line, if it's not a closed line then there is nothing for it to fill (at least that's how it worked in toonboom.) try making a rectangle and filling it. if it works, then you probably just need to make sure you don't have gaps in your linework.
hope this helps.

They're definitely closed as I'm trying to fill a circle I got from the shapes tool, I've tried drawing a shape and filling that as well and neither work.

hmm... maybe something with your palette. have you tried making a new color and filling it with that? it could also be something in your settings. it's hard to trouble shoot because i don't have the program with me at the moment....

Yep tried filling with a new colour, Tried drawing with a new colour and filling that, I can only draw in new colours. Filling anything still does not work, It probably is something to do with my settings but I'm not very literate in animator terms so I don't know what to look for.

I figured it out! On the tool option bar on fill tool onionskin was ticked which stopped it working because the level was in different shapes and places frame by frame. I could edit singularly when I unticked onion skin on the tool option bar for the fill tool. Managed to make a very bad but coloured animation. Thanks for your help though. Here's my animation
